On this episode of Photo Geek Weekly, Don is joined by Jeff Harmon to discuss the highest resolution camera sensor in a telescope, what will hopefully be the end of our coverage on the heat issues with the Canon R5, improving frame interpolation in slow framerate video and the joy of finding unobtrusive ways to get a film camera to shoot digital. All this and more – thanks for listening!

Picks of the Week:
Don: Yasuhara Nanoha Macro Lens 5:1 for Micro Four Thirds – with reservations. It’s not for all uses – very short working distance!
Bonus: Full resolution test image taken with lens. Resolving power is on par with more expensive lenses. Just that darn working distance…
Jeff: Anker USB C Hub, PowerExpand 8-in-1 USB C Adapter

I don’t know what the big deal is about the R5? Canon released the specs and told everyone about the limitations. For that they are set on by by every fanboy and most have never touched the camera. Since most people only shoot sort videos instead of long never ending videos, what is the big deal? I would love to own on e of these cameras for shooting sports and wildlife. I do shoot video but in shot bits. Since most videos change the shot every six to ten seconds it would work for me and a lot of my friends. Since shooting racing I have to make sure I use only sealed lenses and cameras. IF i was to do long running vlogs I would buy the right tool for that job and not bitch like an internet mental midget. Great podcast as usual. Thanks
I saw that article about the 3200mp project and immediate thought of Don. I just could not see him passing that story up to talk about! I did think the discussion would go in slightly different direction though. Still entertaining as always. Back to waiting for the next episode.
How did you think the conversation about the 3200MP sensor would go? 🙂
