Hi Don! I really enjoyed your podcast last yesterday and I was also inspired to order the Zenit lens. Of course it hasn't come yet but I went ahead and watched the video for reversing the element. It is difficult to see exactly what he does and which element exactly he is reversing. I am hoping that perhaps you could share some tips and suggestions after you reverse your lens. This is gonna be fun! Thanks for a great podcast! :)

I have my Zenit MC Zenitar 50mm f/2 lens on order and it's already been shipped. How long it will take to get here from Russia, who knows? It seems like a great partner to my Mir 1B lens that led to some unusual and beautiful photos.

I also owned the original Canon 5D (in fact, I owned two of them). In addition to the shortcomings Allan mentioned I'll add that the sensor on that camera is a real dust magnet so be prepared to do some serious cleaning if you use it. Mine was so dusty I sent one of them back to the Canon factory three times for cleaning with no help, and Canon finally replaced the glass filter over the sensor and it STILL had dust on it when I got it back!
