  1. Is it not uncommon to see video cameras stuffed into Frankenstein rigs? I think canon built something that would work well.

    • I’m not questioning whether it will work well, I am questioning the design process. So many things about that camera feel rushed, which doesn’t bode well for long term complications on usability. I can very easily be wrong! But a viewfinder bump with no viewfinder just feels… wrong.

      • The XC10 & 15 have the same bump and a similar overall design. Maybe a review of those cameras will bring some enlightenment as to the purpose of the bump.
